Finally decided on a name! And some hot grill pics inside...

Today Shawn and I finally decided that our vessel would be named S/V Cyana (and so I could finally make the blog!). It's a name with multiple meanings to us. First and foremost it is a reference to an ancient Greek diver who destroyed the Persian navy. This then went on to inspire the Lady Cyana of Florida Keys scuba diver fame, which then inspired Shawn's parents to name one of their cats Cyana. Cyana was a cat dear to Shawn, she slept above his head every day since he was born and he personally watched her die. Cyana was Shawn's first cat, S/V Cyana is our first cat (groan). It's good luck to name a vessel after a lady who has passed, we hear, so we thought it would fit.
Cyana and Scuba - Cyana is the grey one on the left

As I am far away from Cyana right now (the boat) Shawn did some shopping for grills and decided on a nice little rectangular one to go in the back. This will be our primary cooker for a while since it currently has no microwave.
Shawn took this in the veil of night

Speaking of the microwave, we need one. I'm greatly considering a hybrid microwave/convection oven (they're energy efficient!) even though they're expensive and replacing the current oven with that. Space saved and whatnot. But we need to do measurements and determine whether one would fit the stove properly and if the hookups would work. We're new to this whole "able to modify our living space to scary degrees" thing and shouldn't abuse our newfound power.
