First Time on the Hook

The morning began with early provisioning. Thanks to my mother we have enough food to feed a family of 4 for a week. Seriously she has contributed more to this voyage then I can even describe.
Emily and Mike I would like to dedicate this voyage to you. I will NOT miss your wedding!
The coming storm has forced us to take the ICW. The obligatory dolphins and osprey were abundant. I learned Cyana likes to go fast. When my father and I were waiting for the bridge she would make all kinds of noise. With open water around I let her do a circle and then went into neutral. No more fuss. When we hit Port Charlotte harbor we went on deck and just let Cyana's auto pilot carry us.
After experimentation we began motor sailing. Wind was weak an unfavorable but it have us a 0.3 knot boost. That's good right?
We eventually put down the sails while entering Fort Myers waters. About an hour of night motoring and we decided that we better cut our risks. Cyana took harbor in a field of crab traps. This will not be the last night she is on the hook.
With some luck we should be able to wake up and get out of town before L99 arrives.
