Fair Winds and Following Seas

09 June 2010 | Dock Side Olympia
Mark
Last night was probably the last BBC night with Brother Gene. Well at least for a while anyways. On Thursday he and his family start their adventure to Mexico and points unknown. As life so often does, friends come and go. We are unsure if they will return to Olympia after the adventure, but for selfish reasons I hope so. I have to say it's been an honor and a privilege to have gotten to know Gene, Tami and the kids. He's been a good friend. I hope I have been as good a friend to him as he has been to me. So Reynolds Family, "Let me square the yards, while we may, old man, and make a fair wind of it homeward." (Herman Melville's Moby Dick). Fair winds and following seas my friend. God's speed and I'll see you on the other side.
