Willsboro Bay to Whitehall
13 September 2016
After a hot night of learning how to play Kanasta we woke up to a very brisk morning. The day turned out to be beautiful; it was sunny and beautiful with 1 foot waves and a 12-14 knot south breeze. After riding out the cold front on Sunday we departed Willsboro Bay at 7:00a.m. Monday morning.
Our day can best be described as a 'Natural Wildlife Safari'. As we motored we saw numerous blue heron, several bald eagles, loons, ducks plus several turtles basking in the sun while perched on a log. Our tour through nature can to an end when we arrived in Whitehall after motoring 59.5 miles. After a great BBQ dinner and another evening of Kanasta it was off to bed, Tuesday's plan is to transit the Champlain Canal in one day.
