Still Hooked at Sandy Hook
30 September 2016
There have been gale force winds forecast over the last couple of days but they should end by this evening. Last night was probably the strongest, 25 knots with gusts to forty but they are slowly dropping and for now the gusts are weaker. One of the jobs I did before leaving was make a new anchor snubber bridle with the help of Jan Chrosciel. After last night the 3/4 inch line looks like half inch but all is good.
Bev has almost finished reading Chesapeake and I should finish the last book in Ken Follet's war of the worlds trilogy today. We should be on our way to Atlantic City on Sunday and Cape May Monday. Horseshoe Cove has provided a good anchorage for us and our neighbours.
