Annapolis to Solomons Island
13 October 2016
We left Annapolis at 11:00 a.m. after refueling, filling our water tanks and pumping out the holding tank. It was a beautiful day, warm and sunny with little to no wind. It was amazing to see such a vast body of water with hardly a ripple.
We motored for about 7 hours until we anchored at Spring Cove on Mill Creek at Solomons Island. The anchorage was 10 feet deep, peaceful and very well protected. Every house on the shore of Mill Creek was beautiful with a dock and nice sailboat tied to it. We thought we were in sailboat Mecca. We plan on stopping here on the way back to visit this historic town but for now want to get to Ophelia tomorrow.
