Full Moon at Tangier Island
17 October 2016
By chance I got up early to put the coffee on and witnessed a spectacular sunrise as the full moon was setting. What a way to start the day! We left our anchorage around 8 a.m. and headed to Deltaville which would become our final stop on Chesapeake Bay before entering the ICW. Yet another day of motor sailing in 5-10 knots but who cares, it was bright and sunny. We arrived in Deltaville around 2 p.m. in the middle of a laser race. As it turns out it was the Chesapeake Bay Masters Regatta with 43 boats participating; fortunately, as we turned for our anchorage they were finishing the last race. After a nice 4 mile walk on shore we settled in for a quiet night.
