Beaufort
03 November 2016
After having said our goodbyes to Jim and Debbie last night the only thing we had to do in the morning was hoist the dingy into the davits and get underway. The usual morning routine is I (Allan) get up at dawn, make the coffee, check emails and the hockey scores(go Habs go). Once the coffee is brewed Bev and I will re-confirm our plan for the day and get underway. Today was like most we experienced so far, warm and sunny with light winds; the destination for the day was Beaufort. We managed to motor sail for a while, which certainly helped as we continue to be baffled by the tidal flow. We crossed so many creeks, rivers and small ocean inlets that the current is continually changing; today our max was 8.5 kts
and our worst was 4.1. All in all another great day filled with beautiful scenery and we arrived in Beaufort at 6:30 where we decided to hook on to a mooring ball for the night.
Stuart and Pasty Taylor (ex Hudsonites) live here and we plan to meet them for coffee Thursday morning prior to leaving.
