Great Sailing Day!
24 December 2016
We left Shroud Cay Thursday morning with plans to sail 20 miles south to Pipe Cay, from there we would go to Black Point on Friday (10 miles) for a cruiser's Christmas. It was such a beautiful sail, winds were 10-15 kts. on the beam, water was chrystal and Dagny was in her glory at 7.5 knots.. This was by far the best sailing day of the trip so far so we decided to head right to Black Point and get a good spot in the anchorage. People we had met along the way suggested spending Christmas here, one of the local restaurants puts on a buffet dinner Christmas day for all the cruisers in the harbour. When we arrived Thursday there were only 7 boats here but by Friday evening the numbers had grown to 18 and counting.
We spent Friday catching up on the usual chores, laundry, minor boat repairs and transporting some water from shore to top up our tanks.
