Moving On!
17 January 2017
The weather is finally moderating so it's time to get going and explore the islands between here and Georgetown. Monday was laundry day for half of the fleet in the harbour so we spent at least 4 hours getting our clothes done; but, it's a great place to meet people and gather information. By the time we finished at 2 pm. I had new info on wind generators, portable water maker units and a list of new places to stop and explore.
As we were leaving we were invited for dinner by a couple from Portland Me. aboard their Ericsson 38. Prior to sailing south they had lived on their boat in Portland for 4 years, yes, even during the winter. They are travelling with a solo sailor from Texas who is a former air traffic controller so we had a few stories to swap after dinner, all true of course.
It is a beautiful day and nice we finish our coffee we'll head out for a leisurely sail down the chain.
Today's picture is of a small schooner, sailed by an elderly couple, that we have seen a few times.
