The forecasted front blew through yesterday afternoon with heavy rain showers, gusty winds and a sudden wind shift to the west. Fortunately, for us, we never saw the 50+ knots that were forecasted or any water spouts. We could see a distinct line of black clouds as the strongest part of the front slid by us to the north while our max wind gust was 31knots.The worst had passed through by supper time and the stars were out by bedtime. This morning it continues to blow 20 knots out of the west but we hardly feel it from our well protected dock.

It never ceases to amaze me with the people we meet who have connections to the past. The owner of the Oka Marina is spending the winter in the Bahamas on his boat. He remembers us from when "HighLife" used to lead the fleet to the Oka Marina Bar for our Welcome to Summer Party. We spent some time reminiscing about "Backroads" , Bryan Bowser's boat washing ashore and refloated undamaged and the great times had by all.
