Where the H_ll is La Tuque

04 February 2017
We dinghied ashore Friday morning to drop Larry off for his flight back to the frozen North and took the time to start our reprovisioning. We expect to leave here on Monday to explore the central Exumas and this will be our best chance for fresh food and free water. We carry 105 gallons of water so that means a few trips back and forth with jerry cans to top up the tanks but the weather is beautiful and it's a nice dinghy ride. I also changed the engine oil yesterday and checked things over so we should be good to go. Even though we still have two months to go in the Bahamas we are slowly starting to head north towards the Abacos prior to returning to the US.

While we were walking on Chat and Chill beach the other day we came across a sign post that showed the direction and distance to far off ports of call. I was amused to see La Tuque prominently displayed along with such places as New York, Auckland and London. It is a beautiful afternoon so it's time to go snorkelling and a walk on the beach.
