Waiting for Another Cold One!
09 February 2017
We arrived in Black Point early on Wednesday afternoon in time to do laundry and top up the water tanks. It was a beautiful hot day, and as they say the water was "gin clear" so we went for a swim before heading ashore to meet new friends. We have met lots of interesting people on this trip with varied lifestyles and agendas and today was no exception. The couple we met retired 18 years ago and they spend 3 months on their boat in the Bahamas, then return home to Florida for 3 months. This is followed by 3 months in Georgian Bay on their second boat before returning to Florida for 3 more months and then the cycle is repeated.
There is another cold front due to pass through the region Thursday night so we have moved to Little Bay to seek protection from the north winds. This well protected anchorage is a forty minute walk from the village of Black Point and has a beautiful little beach for us to enjoy. We plan to be here until Sunday before heading north to explore more of the Exumas Park.
Today's picture is of Larry and I on Long Island: it's nice to think they named a town after us but I don't think we have any relatives here.
