Good Food, Good Fun, and Good Laughter!
16 March 2017
We hear that the north east has been hammered by a major storm so I hate to mention that our temperatures have been cooler then normal due to moderate north winds. It's those winds that kept us in a Treasure Cay for two nights; it is a great spot to ride out bad weather. As I mentioned in an earlier blog the beach here is beautiful plus there are numerous canals that were dug years ago. We felt like we were in a home and garden show as we toured the canals in the dinghy.
We passed the time walking the beach and visiting with other cruisers that we had met along the way and like us were seeking shelter from the winds. However, it was a bit of a melencolly time as some of our new friends are starting the trek north and it was probably the last time we will see them. The highlight of the stay was spending time with Chuck, Sylvie, Bill and Sandy sharing stories and visiting on their respective yachts. Good fun, good food good laughter! We went our separate ways on Wednesday morning with hopes to meet in the future.
