We spent the last two days hanging around at anchor south of Marsh Harbour in a bay that provided coverage from the north winds. We went for a great tour of some small cays in the dinghy Sunday afternoon and enjoyed happy hour with Lana and Robert aboard "Our Diamond". We saw numerous turtles on our tour and are continually amazed by their speed. We were all set to move on Monday but at the last minute decided that it was such a nice day, why bother.
There always seems to be boat chores to tend to so Bev did some cleaning while I sanded and stained a section of the teak toe rail. After a leisurely walk ashore we were treated to yet another beautiful sunset prior to dinner.
There is a 30 minute cruiser's net on the VHF radio every morning which informs the sailors of all the pertinent news and activities in the area. Yesterday, while I was listening to it, the host happened to mention his boat name and a light came on in my head. I radioed him at the end of the broadcast and discovered he is from Montreal and has a boat just like "Dagny". I saw his blog a few years ago and we have exchanged emails on numerous occasions as he has graciously answered my many questions. With any luck we'll get together before we leave.
Today's picture was taken during our dinghy tour.
