We're On Our Way!
08 April 2017
The weather forecasters were flip flopping yesterday as to what was going to happen over the next couple of days and it kept everyone on edge. It was quite interesting as people scurried from boat to boat discussing strategies and, of course, lurking on the VHF conversations. After much debate our group, which includes 2 Outragous, Anglezarke and Whitebird, decided to stay with our original plan and leave this morning for Great Sale Cay. It was a sad moment as we motored out of the harbour and said our good byes to Ti Amo who were our mentors from the start. We are currently motor sailing in a fleet of 15 boats all headed for various ports in the US.
If all goes well we should be in Charleston late Tuesday or early Wednesday and we will be out of email range until that time. Paul is going give Bev some good bait and a few fishing tips so hopefully we'll have some fish stories when we arrive.
Today's picture is of Miss Emily's son Micheal who Steve and I met years ago. We were impressed by his ability to soccer kick empty beer tins off the overhead beams in the bar, of course we made sure he always had a supply of empty tins.
