The Mother Ship

29 April 2017

After having travelled only 12 miles in 3 days it was time to get a move on. We left Portsmouth early on Thursday morning and spent another day battling the flies as we motored sailed in light westerly breezes. There are numerous bays and creeks to anchor in on the Chesapeake, however sometimes it can be a long way in from the channel to a secluded anchorage. We elected to anchor once again in Fishing Bay and found a great spot near the main channel and settled in for the night.

Our plans were to head to Reedville on Friday morning and visit our cousin Judy and her husband with whom we had spent an enjoyable couple of days with in October. However, this meant parting company with 2 Outrageous after over two weeks of travelling together. It did seem a little strange not seeing their boat but we will hook up again in Annapolis. In the mean time we had another fun visit and a great meal Friday evening at a fantastic restaurant in Reedville.

Today's self explanatory picture is from the boat yard in Reedville.
