Day 5 at Croton on Hudson and counting, that's right we're still here biding our time until the weather clears. The stubborn low that has been sitting off the coast since last week is finally starting to move away. It has been rainy and windy everyday since our arrival and never warmer then 15c, but all is good aboard and nobody's hanging from the spreaders yet. Fortunately, I had bought a small propane heater for our trip to Newfoundland and it has worked better then expected. The Honda generator has kept us powered up while our solar panels haven't seen sun since Friday. According to the forecast this will all break tonight, tomorrow should be sunny and 20c, perfect for a cruise through NYC to Sandy Hook NJ. If the window stays open we'll head down the Jersey Coast Friday.

We've busied ourselves with small boat chores, lots of reading and reviewing various scenarios for our southbound push. Bev's hand is healing well, once we took out the stitches I made a splint out of wooden skewers to immobilize it for a few days. This worked wonders, it's almost completely healed, and the splint doesn't affect
how she holds a wine glass.

We had company for dinner last night, the crew of Jazzy Lady joined us for a nice homemade spaghetti dinner aboard Dagny. My brother Larry and a friend are taking Jazzy Lady south for the winter and caught up to us. The plan has been to travel together to Annapolis before they continue to push further south. We all enjoyed a pleasant evening aboard.

Today's picture is from dinner last night. Jill and Steve if you read this take note of the cork placemats!
