What do you do in Bonaire?
Diving and more diving--not!
I had a fall. My side is blackish purple. My ribs are bruised. I visited a wonderful physician. It did not surprise me to hear, "No diving and no snorkeling for 4 to 6 weeks."

What do you do in Bonaire?
Make lemonade--tour the island!
Washington Slagbaai National Park has bumpy roads, cactus fields, a fresh water spring, geologic features, and cactus fences. As we drove past Lake Gotomeer, flamingoes waded and swam in the water. Goats crossed the road on the way to the putt-putt golf course.

What do you do in Bonaire?
Make lemonade--search for flamingoes!
We sat in slave huts for workers in the salt pan, chuckled
at driftwood poles decorated with found objects.
We stood in awe at the flamboyance in the Pekelmeer Flamingo Sanctuary. Donkey tracks crossed the road as we headed to Lac Bay. Windsurfers and kite boarders filled the bay.

What do you do in Bonaire?
Make lemonade--join a dinghy drift!
In cruiser fashion we passed snacks and shared tales as we drifted toward Klein Bonaire. We re-connected with boats we had met in 2017.
