Dancing on the Edge

A Visit to the San Blas Islands

Oct 30-Nov 9, 2021
Shelter Bay Marina, Colon

Helping other cruisers.
We left an anchor roller with welder for Enjoy.
Dan and Harry checked the batteries and drained the bilge on Harmonium Cays.
We heard howler monkeys in the jungle.
Dancing on the Edge paid it forward.
Linton Bay

Cherishing the beauty of the sea with friends.
Ellen and Harry snorkel in sparkling clear water in the Swimming Pool.
We see an amazing variety of fish at the Japanese Gardens.
Harry and Ellen stare with open mouths at "the Pipe."
We greet Vernacio warmly and drool over his molas
Visit Luis and family at his home to buy fruit and molas
We get a haircut with an incredible view.
Dan and I reconnect with Debbie and Reg on Runner.
Our visit to the San Blas archipelago warmed our hearts.
Eastern Holandes Islands

Breathtaking scene of an ulu under sail.
Ellen walked among a dense canopy of palms with camera in hand.
Dan and I soaked sore muscles in the pool, aka bathtub.
We bought vegetables, eggs and Guna bread from the vege boat.
We feasted on fresh lobster dipped in butter.
The setting sun cast a magical golden sphere around an ulu as the Gunas sailed home.
Green Island

Visiting a Guna village
Everyone wore masks.
Our vaccination cards satisfied the elders in the Congresso.
The tienda sold sparkling soda water (not tonic).
We watched children chase balls in the school yard.
Dan and I smiled as "teens" giggled with cell phones along the bridge.
The villagers led us through the streets with smiling eyes and friendly gestures.
Nargana-Corazon
