Port Mouton, Nova Scotia
08 August 2016
We continue to move down the southern shore of Nova Scotia (Halifax to Yarmouth), we contrast the differences with the Eastern shore (Canso to Halifax). On the Eastern shore we saw very little traffic, recreational or commercial and we had the anchorages all to outself. On the Souther shore, the landscape is less rugged and there are lots of sailboats.
Today was a great sailing day! The wind was 15-20 kts and we were able to sail to Port Mouton on one tack. The only downer is that the wind picked up this afternoon and the wind in the anchorage is now gusting to 26 kts.....It is very warm though - 28*C - and the local families seem to ne enjoyiny the beach.
