Ken got the transmission out yesterday and this morning he tied it to the bike and we brought it to the shop. There are a lot of cruisers down here right now and I felt that we were standing out like a sore thumb with a sailboat transmission strapped to a fold up bike!
No news on the damage yet, we'll find out tomorrow. We did, however find damage to the damper between the transmission and the engine. We need a new damper for sure. I'm sure the bad damper destroyed the transmission to a point that it can't be rebuilt for much less than a new one costs.
I bought too much food at the grocery store again. I thought that I wouldn't make it back to the boat with all that weight on the bike and on my back. You'd think that I'd learn.
