Is the head attached?

We like to stock our freezer with chicken before heading out and I find that by buying a whole chicken and preparing it in the pressure cooker that I can get 3 or 4 meals out of it. Buying chicken always seems to be an adventure. Once when looking to buy chicken in a small village in Mexico, we were asked by the shopkeeper if we wanted it dead or alive. Uhhhh, well, dead. She was about ready to go out back to kill one for us when we asked if it would be cleaned. No, she said. We passed.
In Panama it was hard to find chicken without its head. I could not bear to chop a head off a chicken even though it was already dead so I bought chicken parts instead.
Here in the Galapagos the adventure is in just locating some chicken to buy. For the last 3 days I have been trying to buy chicken but nobody had any. Today I found a butcher with chicken in stock so I bought 3. Because I felt desperate to restock our freezer I was willing to risk finding heads on my chicken. When I asked if the heads were still there, (hoping that I could get her to do the chopping for me), she said something about 'inside'. Oh, joy.
I got home, cautiously opened one of my chickens and found no head but feet.
I can deal with feet.
