Nascar Race at Homestead Florida

well can you believe the race on Sunday. Certainly the best race i have seen at Homestead..would have been happy with Carl Edwards or Tony Stewart as the winner...Carl is a great guy and ambassador for Nascar but Tony is an owner driver..not a big team affiliate

Wonderful Athens

Lots to see and do in this city...a hop on hop off bus tour gave us a chance to see all the city and the port...of course the Acropolis remains at the centre of the city and from any point of interest can not be missed

Athens At Last

Well there is nothing more constant in life than change, and that is what we must do. We have to vacate the Premises. “Necessity” has been at dock in Itsea Greece. This is just 30 nautical miles short of the Corinth Canal. We are about 70 nautical miles short of Athens. The Wind Gods have [...]

Sailing the Gulf of Patras

Can you believe I have internet compliments of our captain as we sail the Gulf of Patras towards Itea...we will take refuge at Itea until the strong winds pass us by again. This creates an opportunity for land travel to Delphi, the ancient Greek centre of the world, and other tourist spots nearby for [...]

Well there is nothing more constant in life than change, and that is what we must do. We have to vacate the Premises. “Necessity” has been at dock in Itsea Greece. This is just 30 nautical miles short of the Corinth Canal. We are about 70 nautical miles short of Athens. The Wind Gods have not been kind. Heavy winds for the last 3 days and we are told they should subside by Tuesday. We have got to catch a plane ride to Miami Friday morning at 5:55 A.M. We would be cutting our time frame too short and could just miss our flight. In speaking with Admiral Carol I am told this would not do as we have a date with Tony Stewart and the final Nascar race of the season.
The new plan is to bus to Athens and take our hotel a day early. Gee we will just have to tour and shop. There is lots to see in this history filled city.
