Preparing to depart

Susannah clear, warm and breezy
It always takes longer that you think.... Paul has been a one man factory! He has taken up sewing and has produced to date, a cover for our instrument panel, a steering wheel cover, shades for the cockpit, screens for the rear windows and an amazing rear sunshade with a window that will keep the late afternoon sun off of us in the cockpit. He has installed AIS so we can see and be seen by other boat traffic (you can find us on AIS as well, just search, Dawn Patrol) and added 2 flexible solar panels to our coach roof which will triple our capacity! oh yeah, he also added a new wi-fi booster system so we can get better internet to keep blogging! Sunday looks like a good window for departure with winds from the NW to travel down the Pamlico to Ocracoke! Hopefully our next post will be from Ocracoke Island. Townes is enrolled in Calvert Homeschool and we are getting a headstart on lessons today.
