Relatively Lazy Day

25 July 2013 | Rocky Pass Anchorage
John/Mixed Bag
Today was great! There was a -3.6 tide this morning so Deb and John took the kayaks and went out for an hour all around this island and explored - no bear were noted but eagles abound. Deb found a spot that seemed to be teeming with clams and she stayed and dug them while John went to check on the crab pot. We ended up with more clams than we could eat and 1 decent crab. BTW, we have noted that with all the shrimp, crab and fish we are enjoying we have not had to break anything out from the freezer for the past 10-14 days. We then spent a fair amount of time just sitting around, kibitzing with others, sharing ideas on how to fix various minor problems some of the boats are having and just farting around acting like little kids. We cooked the crab, stuffed ourselves with clams, had garlic bread and rounded out the meal with some yummy edamame. It was another great day - we will sleep well prior to heading off for a re-fueling stop at Kake tomorrow.
