Boys and their toys!
04 April 2014
After catching up with our ex-sailing friends (that's ex as in not sailing anymore, not ex-friends), Angie & Wayne, who are enjoying their busy artistic life back on the land, we headed further south and stopped off on the way to have lunch in Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace. It really is full of history, including the Garrick Inn which has been serving ale since 1594!
Our day ended in Bedfordshire, visiting friends Chris and Paula. Chris is a big classic car fan and it was he who raced at Classic Le Mans two years ago. Well, he is at it again and will be racing a 1927 Salmson (French vintage racing car) in this year's race in July. He also has a bright blue 1931 MGC that he was racing at Silverstone the day after our visit.
