Friends and diving in Malta
31 October 2014
After our trip to Crotone, we returned to Malta for a short time as the weather was still lovely and we we were not ready to return to Sicily, where our summer cruising would come to an end.
Whilst in Malta, Chris took the opportunity to do his PADI Open Water diving qualification. The course ran over 3 days and was very intense with long, tiring days of classroom work and lots of diving. On his last day, the group dived above HMS Maori, a WWII ship that is now sunk just below the Valletta fortifications.
His instructor, David, was a star and really made the course enjoyable. Afterwards, he joined us on board one evening and made us laugh with his many stories.
We were also joined by our good pals Krissy & Ni and Bonnie & Rick who all come over from Sicily aboard Krissy & Ni's catamaran Finalmente to spend a few days with us. We had a lot of laughs, some great shopping and happy evenings together. Thanks for coming over!
