Anse Chastenet
13 March 2016
We left Deep Blue safely attached to the mooring buoy and took the dinghy around the corner to Anse Chastenet for the afternoon. There is a long, sweeping beach here as well as an upmarket hotel with beach bar and restaurant and one of the largest scuba operators in the Windwards.
We sunbathed on the beach, lounged under the palm trees and snorkelled in the marine reserve where we were amazed by the brightly-coloured fish that were all new to us, like the beautiful Parrotfish, but we were a bit wary to spot a 5-foot long Great Barracuda floating just off the bottom.
There could not have been a more pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
