BAY BRIDGE

22 September 2013 | Annapolis
MB/ Light winds
Very few bridges offer a photo op like the Chesapeak Bay Bridge. The curves match the shape of a well tuned sail.

FINALLY

22 September 2013 | ANNAPOLIS
MB Clear and cool
After many years of watching boats from the shore in Annapolis, We finally had the chance to take up a mooring in Annapolis. Took the TAXI in for dinner. Afterward, we watched some of the best sailors in the world tour the harbor. Daysailors, windsurfers, and yachts all skillfully navigated the harbor with tacks and jibes between moored vessels and each other. Before heading out in the morning, we took our chartered Bennetau up into EGO ALLEY.

BAY TIME

22 September 2013 | Burwell Bay
MB/ HOT
Super day sail day. Nothing better than spending the day, sailing, swimming, and laughing on a hot summer day. Anchoring in Burwell Bay for a swim was a change from the time we washed up on the beach in a northeaster. That's story for another day!

A STAY in the BAY

22 September 2013 | Cobham Bay
MB/ FULL MOON
ON this night, we were the only boat in the bay. Caught a fish on the fly, scraped the prop, ate well, slept good, and had one of the best overnighter trips.

Been Awhile
