We Are Outta Here!

29 May 2010 | Kewalo Basin,Oahu,Hi.
Lynn
This is our Garmin Nav system

It is now 4:30 Saturday morning. Jeff and Ian are working the sleep from their system, I'm doing this while drinking coffee trying to wake up. All systems are working fine and in an hour or so we leave this dock for the last time! Yahooo!

We will head for the end of Oahu, turn right to about 28 degrees aiming for 30 degrees north and 150 degrees west. This will put is in a position to catch some winds blowing toward California. Forecast is light winds and flat seas so I need to get north of 30 degrees quickly.
Kewalo Basin is a good place to park for awhile, close to stores, Waikiki beach is less than a mile away. Charles, the Harbormaster,John and the rest of his crew, are extremely helpful and accomodating. Charles is working very hard to make Kewalo Basin Harbor cruiser friendly and a pleasant place to dock your boat.
It is now 5:30 and we are putting loose gear and stowing gear and checking her out. I'll be posting our daily progress on the map on the right hand side of the blog.
We do have ship's e-mail but please no pics or videos, just plain text, as the sat phone can't handle them.

I have to wrap this up and get us going so till tomorrow,
Lynn
