More of the same, high pressure system, bottom edge,motorsailing with staysail and main, but the genoa comes out for the squalls! Then we pick up some speed but alas, that doesn't last long or often enough! Dang it mon! After motoring at 2 to 3 knots all nightand then checking our fuel burn rate, we kicked it up to 5/6 knots. This little 371 sips fuel and since we carry 850 gallons we decided to get some speed on. After the high forecast looks like a fast sail the rest of the way home. So far we have only used 75 gallons. We keep busy by checking the rigging,cooking, reading some housekeeping but with 3 guys on board not too much of that! Weather from the ssb radio and also e-mail weather forecast from the weather service. Saw on Pacific Seafares that we may cross path with a boat from Santa Cruz that is heading for Honolulu but other than that just us out here in this blue blue sea! Lynn
