Searchingfor the Trade Winds

A rather boring and windless night while heading south for the reported Trade Winds that would blow us to Oahu. Around 6 am the wind came up, sorta, and as we were getting too far south we tacked again to the northwest. By doing that, no matter which way the winds blow, we will be in a better position for our final tack to Diamond Head. Currently we have about 8 to 10 knots of wind, 3 to 4.5 knots of boat speed, very warm, but not hot like my lovely wife Jane told me what north county is currently experiencing. Steve threw a couple of buckets of water over his head this morn, T is washing out clothes and I'm doing this. There is a nice wind line and clouds up head that hopefully will have enough wind in them for us to make a beeline to the island. Just have to wait and see.
Till tomorrow,
The crew
