Our wild ride yesterday ended at sundown. We spent the day riding the bottom edge of a low way up above, so we had winds from the stern and very confused seas. The good thing is that the swells were very small, maybe 3 to 4 feet. Then last night we entered the northwestern corner of the Pacific High and by the end of the day we should be just above the giving winds to send us home. We are on a course straight for Morro Bay, with just 1434 more miles to go. At the moment we are motorsailing along at 5 kts. Yesterday we hit 8.1kts! undersail! Fun ride butwhat a difference a day makes. Today has been housekeeping day, cleaning up the galley, cockpit checking the rigging and such since yesterday all we could do is hang on. Everyone is fine, reading and eating and sleeping is what we do most as the watch routine has at least 2 down during the day. We try to start prepping for or main meal around 3 so we have everything cleaned up by evening. One nice thing about heading north, days are longer. e-mail goforbroke@ocens.net
