Fell off the face of the earth

Well that didn't work out as planned. I spent most of the summer in Africa and Sri Lanka. Highly recommend Sri Lanka, Ghana, and Sao Tome. Ahh the life of an international trainer.

Well what a productive weekend. I managed to get the new slip paid for and finished stowing for "sea". Got the main hoisted for the first time in three years, need a new main. Damn. It should work ok for this summer but she'll need a new one before heading out.
Found out that two of my winches need servicing real bad so I'll be doing that this week. Now were in the heck are my battens? Hmm seems now that I'm finishing up I'm finding a bunch of stuff missing. Strange it was all so organized when I began. (Lisa's gonna laugh at that). So with any luck at all Lisa and I will be out on the bay next Saturday.

Well I thought I should start a blog now that I'm almost finished with the 5 year saga of rescuing Delta M.S. a 1980 Slocum 43 hull #4. I still have much to do but the basics are there and she hasn't tried to sink or catch on fire for almost a year.
