Still in Brisbane

Spent the day in San Francisco yesterday and didn't get back to the boat until after dark; which meant walking the rails in the dark for a half hour. After watching a little Olympics this morning we took Desert Vision out for a sail. We didn't have but a few knots of wind when we reached open water but enjoyed a relaxing trek across the bay. It is so laid back and different here as opposed to sailing in the Columbia River, except that the wind waves get huge and breaking nearly every afternoon.
After a while we decided to raise the Spinnaker which kicked us into overdrive! What a quick way to summon the wind from 3 to 19 knots, simply raise the Spinnaker. We quickly doused it and went back to main and jib. On the way in Iris got a few photos of this old schooner with miles of rigging just rotting off of it. The poor thing badly needs tons of TLC.
