We had a very nice sail from Brisbane back to South Beach San Francisco a couple days ago. Pier 40 is a nice marina of about 700 boats, mostly sail and most are very nice and well maintained. So we have done lots of walking about town and the waterfront, reading, and some maintenance on the boat. Last night we went to a nice little Italian restaurant that was a favorite of ours a few years ago. The food was still as wonderful and the calamari hors devours is still to die for. They are sliced into steaks instead of rings and grilled on a barbeque instead of fried. Tender white meat except for the grill sear marks tossed in some wonderfully seasoned olive oil base with cannellini beans. I can hardly wait to get my own catch and try it myself.
Tomorrow we are going to take Pat and some of his friends out for a sail on the bay and dinner on the boat. I will try to get another post off then.
