Chores and exploration.

Michael / Sunny and windy
Yesterday yielded a lovely evening watching all the people playing in the sand and surf on the beach in front of Desert Vision. Iris mentioned that she would like to spend the day on the beach with our umbrella and chairs tomorrow. Wouldn’t you know that today it is still foggy at 11:00 am without much promise of improvement.
We also had visitors last evening, Ken and Nancy from s/v Gitane, a 38 foot Island Packet from Anacortes, Washington also on its way to Mexico via the Baja Ha Ha.
The sun finally came out about noon so we splashed the dingy and motored over to one of the piers to tie off when to Dolphin crossed our path. that is a sight you don't see everyday on the way to the laundromat. Started all our laundry and took showers next door while it washed. We had lunch in a very nice little restaurant while the clothes dried and then drove back to Desert Vision to drop of everything. Next we drove the dingy to a different pier in front of the town and began exploring. We were very impressed! What an absolute pristine little town that Avila Beach is! We wine tasted, looked through all the shops, the little grocery / restaurant, and had dinner before returning to watch the sunset from Desert Vision.
