A visit with the boat to Singapore

The last week I spent at the "One15 Marina" on Sentosa Island in Singapore with my friends Sharman and Cliff. We motored there - no wind for sailing and too much commercial shipping in the straits.
My hot water heater, stove and batteries had given out after many years of service and I needed to replace them. An outstanding saleswoman at a chandlery at Raffles Marina helped, got me all the replacements and then my friends Sharman and Cliff helped me install the equipment. Beside that we did enjoy Singapore which of course also always involves shopping in some of its mega shopping malls.
It made me get to know Singapore better. It is a very nice city. What I love most are the many parks and the ever present greenery. In spite of the large high rise buildings both for business and living quarters, it often looks as if one were in the country side. Beside that, the inexpensive public transportation is fabulous. Readily available buses and an extensive subway rail system get you anywhere in no time.
But when everything is said and done I am happy to be back in quiet Sebana, away from the temptations. But next time I shall explore some of Singapore's sights and hopefully stay away from Simlin Square - the paradise for computer and photo freaks!
