Me Ka Hauoli Makahiki Hou! Happy New Year
30 December 2017 | WAIKIKI BEACH, Honolulu
JANICE
We have had a great time in Honolulu making new friends both at the Hawaii Yacht Club and with Bud's cousin Wayne's family. We have been made very welcome. We have got all our spares and provisioned the boat for at least 3 months. Andy and I have spent the last 2 days cooking cookies, cake, curry, Dahl and mince pies to keep us going for a few days. We have a good weather forecast and have checked out with US Immigration. We got 1200 gallons of fuel yesterday so we leave here tomorrow morning, 30 December for the Marshall Islands. It is around 2,000 nautical miles or 4,000km on the other side of the date line just north of the equator, the only land on the way is a tiny stop Johnston, in all this should take us about 18 days.
From here on we will only be able to post via our Sailblogs page which is linked to my Facebook page. We will be out of communications now until March other than by satellite phone. So wishing everyone a great New Year, Good Health and Happiness ... Oh and lots of HUGS and laughter 🤣
