Anchorage NE Aasiaat Island

Today our other two expedition members, Andy and Claire Wilson, were due to join us but thunderstorms in Europe cancelled their flight last night. Frustrating but by 1.30 am Saturday they had managed to re-book flights and will hopefully join Andy, Dave Benbow and I in Aasiaat Tuesday afternoon. Having spent yesterday provisioning the boat, we have left the main harbour for a few days. On the way Dave and I did some fishing for dinner. Dave bought new lures yesterday and finally broke his 'fishing jinx' by catching an Atlantic Wolffish, big enough for three for dinner tonight. Then Dave and I both caught a Greenlandic Cod each, so happy days.
We are now anchored in a lovely bay with potential for a nice walk tomorrow, after the chores are done. Dave brought out some new halyard for the spinnaker pole. Having cleared the harbour we can also make water this evening.
PICTURE: Dave with his aggressive catch; mind your fingers. Nice sweet eating though.
