Three nights down

The lumpiness we reported earlier has persisted - it's not too bad on a heavy-displacement vessel like Destiny, but on the flyers like Wombat it can be damned uncomfortable - as in fact Mike reported to us this morning during our HF radio sked. We're making slow but good progress in the right direction, almost close-hauled but with double-reefed main still. It's a bit rough for trolling a lure at present - and in any case, dealing with the victim would be a bit problematic in the boisterous conditions. Life goes on as usual for us - trying to stay awake when on watch at night and trying to sleep when possible during the day, attending to radio and navigation, cooking as best as possible in the swell and reading. Kukka is within VHF range so we're chatting with them regularly, which is quite nice for the on-watch at night. Cheers from us!
