What a day

23 October 2011 | San Diego CA
Larry Read Cloudy and chilly
What a day and what a night. Nelda and I started a 4 this morning right where we left off at 11 last night. Todays adventure was running new wire to the SSB radio. Not something you "want" to be doing on the day before you depart.
That was all done by 10 and I was off to the skippers meeting to find out which way to point the nose of the boat tomorrow. Nelda was off to pick up last minute things like a new drill to replace the one I burned up earlier this morning running the wire, "better now than later", we seem to saying that allot lately.
After the skippers meeting it was back to the boat to change into our Halloween Costumes for the Ha Ha BBQ, then hurry back to the boat to help Rich work on the SSB radio with the new wire and then off to the dock party our friends in the marina put on for us and then back to the boat to open a very special box from our daughters and granddaughter. It is all a blur but Nelda and want everyone to know how much we enjoyed every minute of today.
To answer the question we have been ask a thousand times in the last week, "yes we are ready enough!". It is going to be very strange going from the hectic pace we have been on for over 6 weeks to 12 hour watches and three days of being alone just the two of us.
Thats it for today.
