Greetings from the Equator! Diaomnd Girl crossed the imaginary line, (the contract between King Neptune the the Fox Sports Network to super impose a line has been canceled) today at 4:12 this afternoon. It has been a long trip to get this far and we are excited. No more Pollywogs, we are now Shellback. We actually don't feel much different other than a sense of relief. It seemed like each day we went slower and slower until today. There were numerous festivities to attend to; there was the crowning of Mr and Mrs Neptune, the presentation of offering to the sea and of course the ever popular dropping a "note in a bottle" telling people here we are and to come get us. More on these in future posts. For now we are celibrating by putting up our spinniker for the first time on the trip. The weather is fabulous and the wind is perfect. Nelda is cooking one of my favorites, steak and bell pepers. All fresh from the freezer. That's it for this edition. More tomorrow on some of the equitorial activities.
