Greetings We have had a log lazy day here I paradise. We went to the farmers market this morning starts at 5am. The weird thing is most businesses here are only open 30 hours a week on week days so we can't figure out why they want to sell veggies before it gets light. Even though we were half asleep we made it to the quay and scrambled up the "ladder of death". I will try and send a pic of the ladder of death but lets just say it is a really nasty way to get one's self up on the dock. First you have to push aside 20 other dingys that arrived before you did, then Nelda goes up the ladder and holds the line until I can get to the top. There are various vegetables available for sale but the most coveted is lettuces. Only one person grows it ad it was gone in the first 10 minutes and we did't get any. We are eating bockchoy. Not quite romaine but it is green and leafy. We bought some Polynesian grape fruit. They are grey inside but have a wonderful flavor. Todays pic is of Nelda standing in front of the bay. The bay is like a horse shoe and the land wraps all the way around the water. We walked to the market yesterday and got there just before it started to rain, and did it pour. It was not the rain for fifteen minute shower we were used to. It rained hard for over two hours and finally we just put up the two scrawny, folding umbrellas we carry and walked back to the boat. We were drenched when we got back. Tonight there is cultural dancing and we are hoping to get to the BBQ and see the locals perform.
