It was a miserable morning. We awoke at 5 am to get an early start. The fog covered us like the grim reapers blanket. The ship was made ready to sail and we left Neah Bay at 6:20 am. As we left the bay and turned left, there it was .. the big bad ocean. Well, it was there somewhere, we just couldn't see it for the fog. As we moved off shore the swells grew, the rain came and the fog hung in. We felt we were in a washing machine. It was not pretty. It certainly wasn't the picture painted by our fearless Captain. Nevertheless, we persevered and by noon the sun was out and it was glorious. And what a day we had, we sighted many whales, dolphins chased out bow, large sun fish floated by and there were birds everywhere. The winds picked up to about 15 kts. As I am typing this, it is dark, the seas are a little unstable but we are all safe. Dinner was great thanks to my sweetie who had made several frozen gourmet servings. We are making good time and the forecast is encouraging. To days photo is the sunset off our starboard beam. Our only problem is we may run out of brownies. We have aleady gone through two packages. Thats it for now, i could write ore but im sliding around the cockpit with the lap top. Thanks for visiting. Glenn
