Mark
Hi everyone. Mark blogging again. What a day we've had! The day started for me with a midnight to 4 a.m. watch. What a start. Today is the first whole day at sea. The weather has been great with good winds from behind us and we're making great speed. Nobody has been seasick and we all are managing to get some sleep. Nelda, your lee-cloth is awesome! Nice job. Today I learned the importance of strapping things down and ALWAYS holding on. When I get back home i'm thinking of designing and marketing some cruising clothing. So far I've come up with an item to prevent the inevitable hip bruising from getting bashed against things. Counters, doorways tables... you get the picture. I'm thinking something like Hockey pants but nicer and available in different colors. Maybe even Hawaiin print for those wanting to go there. I think I'll call them "passage pants" .... OK maybe not. Right now we are running strait south down the 126W meridian of Longitude. That puts us rignt now about 70 miles offshore. It's so strange to look around and not see land in any direcion. We have clear sunny skies and about 15-20 knots of wind. Well, I should get back upstairs as my 8-midnight watch tonight is about to start, and Glenn is about to do the roll call for Pacific Seafarer's Net. Until next time,

Mark.
