DD worked her way down the ICW and sometimes outside south toward Florida the way most Ontarians do. The ICW is a learning process and the trek south honed our seamanship skills. Tides, currents, ranges and anchoring, rewarded with sundowners at happy hour. On Dec. 10th DD crossed the Gulf stream from Miami to Gun Cay, Bahamas and after a bumpy night on the banks with 25 kt of wind and a couple of days in the Berry islands, the hook went down in Nassau on the 14th of Dec. We were just in time, as our son, Dominik, was flying in for a well deserved holiday and Christmas with us.
