Contadora sure is a pretty island. However, the white and beautiful beach lacks a dock to land on or to tie up your dinghy. So to get to this paradise we had to conquer the surf and found that it presented a challenge, even became hell for others, we were told later, as the waves could flip your dinghy with you in it.
Perfect timing was the secret!
Now, before you ride the perfect wave you unlock the outboard engine's tilting mechanism, match your ride on the wave and when hitting the sand, quickly, very quickly, jump out of the dinghy, grab the handle and start pulling the dinghy like the devil up the beach before the next wave could douses you in your nice outfit and swamps the dinghy.
