Meeting up with friends
25 March 2010 | The Saintes
Benno
The Saintes are a picturesque group of islands just a few miles south of Guadeloupe, true French and layed back. Diesel Duck anchored close to the fishing dock and from this dock it was less than 100 meters to the boulangerie Ti Saintes. At 5:00 a.m. the smell of oven fresh baguettes and croissants drifted over the anchorage so pleasant, you had to hop into the dinghy and buy a load. Here in the Saintes we met up with Heather and Scott of "Scott Free" who we had last seen in Panama two years ago. What a pleasure to see them again and to catch up on news. A few days later the Trawler "Tusen Takk II" came into the Saintes with Barb and Chuck on board, who we had last seen in the BVIs in the spring of 2007. The world is small.
Here a picture of Heather who thought this little car here in the Saintes was very cute.
